About

Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE) is an annual international academic conference organized by the Global Chinese Society for Computers in Education. The 20th GCCCE was held at Hong Kong Institute of Education in 2016. The 21st GCCCE was held at Beijing Normal University, Beijing in 2017. The conference has been developed as a premier academic event for researchers, practitioners and policy makers in the Chinese communities for the worldwide dissemination and sharing of ideas for research in the field of Computers in Education.

After hosting the inaugural GCCCE 1997 and GCCE 2007, the South China Normal University, Guangzhou, will once again staging GCCCE 2018 on May 26-29, 2018. The conference theme of GCCCE 2018 is “From ‘Educational Innovation’ to ‘Innovation Education’”. The conference program will comprise keynotes, paper presentations, workshops, panels, Doctoral Student Forum, Teachers' Forum and industrial exhibitions.

GCCCE 2018 consists of nine theme-based sub-conferences:

2. Digital Classroom, Mobile and Ubiquitous Learning

3. Joyful Learning and Society

4. Technology in Higher Education and Human Performance

5. Teacher Professional Development and Educational Policy

6. Technology Enhanced Language Learning

7. Learning Analysis, Assessment and Artificial Intelligence in Education

8. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Maker Education

9. Digital Technology, Innovation, and Education

(23 May 2018) We've uploaded the proceedings.
(20 May 2018) We've finalized the programme schedule.
(14 May 2018) Accommodation reservations via our official e-mail address have all been confirmed (including non-contribution participants). No need to reconfirm by e-mail. On 24 May we'll have three reception desks for your convenience, one at the conference venue and two in the hotel. Attendees can register at any sites.

(16 April 2018) Important notes for non-contribution participants: Welcome to attend GCCCE 2018 without contribution! Please register and pay CNY 900 on site at the reception (in cash or credit card). In addition, please complete the form and return it via e-mail (gccce2018_accom@163.com) as soon as possible. Note that only a limited number of rooms are available. Rooms are allocated on first-come-first-serve basis, and priority is given to authors with accepted papers. We’ll contact you via email if we fail to make your reservation. Please accept our apology for not necessarily meeting your needs.
(16 April 2018) Our payment platform is now open for authors of Workshops, Teacher’s Forum and Doctoral Student Forum, please refer to Page Registration and complete registration and payment with the PaperID assigned by Local Organizing Committee as soon as possible, thank you! Please note that we’ve extended Early Bird Registration deadline again (30 April), and the deadline for accommodation reservation is extended to 20 April as well.

(3 April 2018) We’ve updated the Accommodation information, please go to page LOCATION -- Accommodation. Please complete by 17 April, 2018, allowing time for the hotels to calculate and confirm your reservation.
(2 April 2018) About registration and payment: We are now solving some problems about payment. It is expected that we accept other ways (Wechat, Union Pay) and US dollars. We've extended early bird registration date accordingly. Sorry for the inconvenience.
